I managed to get myself a serious dose of MANFLU while I was on road, but I soldiered on and did some great shows! I played the legendary Paradiso in Amsterdam supporting the marvelous Miss Montreal. Although I felt like poop some days, I had some great times over there, have a look at some of the TOUR PHOTOS on facebook.

Next up is the U.K tour in June, plus I’m writing for new material and enjoying listening to music, reading books, watching good films etc for inspiration… so if anyone has any suggestions of great culture that I’m missing out on, let me know on facebook or twitter!!

The Shape of Us featured on the hit TV show Parenthood is going from strength to strength, the various uploads on youtube have now had over 50 thousand hits and the fans keep on coming from all over the globe! It’s been truly amazing, so thanks to everyone who shared the link or bought the track!

Come the 5^th of April, I’ll be flying out to Holland to begin promoting the release and then when I return on the 19^th we will put the little beauty on sale at ianbritt.com. So sit tight, it wont be long.

Instead of mentioning that the truly humongous and impending elephant in the room is the imminent doom that over population is fast bringing upon is… I shall talk about me instead. Me. Me. Me.

2012! What’s next Ian? Nice of you to ask. Well, whilst disregarding the over population issue myself, I shall be improving my cooking abilities and jogging more.

Other New Year resolutions are to stop taking my clothes off in the bus station & to learn the guitar.

Also, the new band (The Blame) is going to be active this year, we hope to do some European shows late 2012 and are currently mixing to get some tracks out for your consideration asap! As you may know, it’s quite different from Ian Britt output, so I hope it doesn’t scare you off. And if you’re scarred by music, then what is the world coming to? (Apart from hugely over populating itself.)

I myself am planning to have an album by the end of the year and am asking you guys to help pick from demos as to which tracks will make it onto the final piece! (I’m thinking of calling it “Have Less Sex” or “At Least Use a Condom”) There is also a live Britt album due out in spring, which I shall be touring to promote in the UK and Europe!

So, 2 days into 2012 and I’ve already smeared its beautiful face!

Merry Christmas Tiny Tim!!

I am currently sat in the studio in Breda, south Holland… but there’s more eating & drinking than recordings this time… just relaxing, hangin with friends and a “little” playing with music. Rock AND roll.

I was over in Berlin two weeks ago for some house shows which we amazing as was Berlin itself, and am now mid-tour in Holland, some great shows so far, beautiful, intimate and special house shows as well as some great Cafe shows to a whole bunch of Britt Fans old and new! So thanks to everyone who has come out to see me play…

In the Mezz show on Sunday, we recorded the performance and will be releasing a live EP early 2012… so keep an eye out for that!

The UK BOX tour was great fun if a little hectic, many new friends made, and old friends revisited. We took a little break to shoot this little video of me singing The Way You Make Me Feel in the middle of a London street just before the last date of the tour:

So what’s next? Well, I sat down for ten minutes after the tour and then started work again! There’s a new single featuring Sheffield band “Driftrun” due out in a month or so, a new EP is in rehearsal ready for recordings, videos for more of the tracks of BOX being made for youtube, I’m hoping to tour Holland & the UK again late ‘11/early ’12, gigs in Scotland and Berlin are planned, maybe even the moon!

It’s all go, so keep listening and keep helping by staying in touch and spreading the music around your friends via facebook, youtube etc.
